After seven weeks of asking, the Lion finally picked up their first points of the campaign with a hard fought 1-0 win away to an aged Teesdale team.
The match got off to a shakey start as Teesdale had the best of the first five minutes, making the Lions's defence work hard to deny a couple of chances created by a lively Teesdale attack. However after that Teesdale were reduced to few clear cut chances as the Lions back four began to gel.
It was only a matter of time before the Lions went ahead, as the Teesdale goalkeeper put in a spectacular man of the match performance to deny James 'Teak' Beaven on a number of occasions. However eventually the pressure showed, and Teak scored what turned out to be the winning goal.
Special mention must go to Jack Ewing, who had a great game in centre midfield and rightly earned the man of the match award.
